Today, in our society, one of the greatest problems of Christians is the problem of spiritual ignorance. And some are even celebrating their ignorance by claiming to know what they don’t know anything about.
For that reason king David pointed it out vividly in Psalms 82:5-7 saying, “They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
Because they do not know, nor do they understand, which resulted in their walking about in the darkness. And by reason of walking about in darkness, All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
However, one precarious situation is that even though they are walking in darkness, they are people that are said, “They are gods, And all of them are children of the Most High. But they shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.”
It is for that reason that we should seek to have a good understanding so that we would not walk in darkness. One of the subjects that we need to have a good knowledge and understanding of is the mystery of sowing seed and harvest.
Of a truth, this mystery of seed-time and harvest is the subject that some Christians seem to have abandoned their brain and walk-in darkness as a result of their ignorance.
King Solomon rightly pointed it in Proverbs 13:15-16 saying, “Good understanding giveth favor: but the way of transgressors is hard. He goes further to say, Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.
As said, in any area of our life we fail to understand, we will end up walking in darkness in that area. The book of Proverbs 19:8 has this to say, “He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good”.
The subject of our discussion is the mystery of seedtime and harvest, which was first mentioned in the bible in Genesis 8:22 saying, “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
From the look of the thing, the above verse is a covenant God had or made with Noah and mankind, saying that as long as the earth remains, that seed time precedes harvest which will never cease.
Those who understand this mystery are flying high in life, while those who fail to understand the mystery are making a mockery of it. One unfortunate situation is that ignorant men and women who lack understanding of this mystery have distorted the true meaning.
More so, most Christians who lacked the understanding of this mystery, are falling prey to charlatans that claim to be pastors and are defrauding them of their hard earnings.
As said, charlatans and professional men and women doing church business by answering pastors are using this verse to defraud their members into parting with their hard-earned, and such members seem to have forgotten their brains.
Please, the essence of this post is to help in your understanding of this subject so that yourself will not fall, victim, yourself. Some Christians, on the other hand, are in lack and want because they fail to sow seed that would have fetched them a bountiful harvest in return.
You need a good understanding of this mystery, so that you will not fall victim to the devices of the devil, to prevent you from sowing seed because, without sowing seeds, you will never reap a harvest in return.
In other words, there are some people who are expecting a bountiful harvest while they never sowed any seed. Therefore, the first understanding I wish that you should have is that seed sowing is never about seed money or resources only.
This is one of the deceits charlatans that answer pastors, who give people the impression that seed sowing is only about money or resources. This is not true, seed sowing is not only about money resources alone.
Secondly, seed sowing must be sowed cheerfully, not coerced. Any pastor that coarse you to sow seeds, but fails to sow seed himself or herself, is a fraud. Moreover, you need to differentiate between giving money to the pastor in the name of sowing seed and a giving prophet offering and sowing seed to the kingdom.
Money seeds these charlatans demand find their way into their private account and is used for themselves. It is for that reason that these charlatans that answer pastors are the only signatory to the church account and withdraw money at will for their private use.
No wonder you see them, coarse members, to give a tithe or so seed but don’t pay tithe themselves because they are doing church business. That is why these so-called seeds never attract any harvest it for their private use and not for the kingdom even though they are asking you to sow seeds for the kingdom.
This never attracts harvest, but a wasted seed, but when you are led to plant seeds in the life of a pastor, and you obey, such attract harvest, not the seed they coarse you to sow.
One thing with these charlatans that answer pastors is that they use the name of God to lie, saying that God said something when they did not hear anything from God.
It is for that reason that you should have a discerning spirit and equally know how to hear from God. Once you know how to hear from God and equally possess a discerning spirit, you will never fall victim to these charlatans.
Some men of God, even genuine men of God, try to raise funds even when the spirit of God did not direct them, simply because a certain percentage of funds raised are given to them. We will end part one here, keep a date with us for part two. Shalom!
