Many has written on Psalm 91 to assure us of the benefits of dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. However, the question is whether we are sure that we are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High?
This question should not be answered in a hurry but needs our sober reflection before we answer the question to ourselves.
Our anchor scripture is PSALMS 91, and we shall be reflecting still on the benefits of God’s assurance for those dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.
We shall be reflecting on this topic because the world over is in turmoil and many are living a life of fear and perplexity. In fact, the hearts of many are failing them for fear of death by a coronavirus.
As a result of the havoc been caused by a coronavirus, the lives of many worlds over are hanging on a balance ready to drop at any moment.
Many had suddenly remembered God, even those who had mocked at God before with their lifestyle.
As for you that know and serve God, you need to be really convinced that you are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.
In essence, if you are really or actually dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, God has given us instruction in Isaiah 8:12 which says, “Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom these people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear nor be afraid.
The very reason God said that we should neither fear ye their fear nor be afraid of what is happening is that He said in psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
That is to say, by our dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, God has assured us that we Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
He also said in verse 4 that “He shall cover us with His feathers, and under His wings, we shall take refuge; His truth shall be our shield and buckler.
It is unfortunate that some who claim to dwell in the secret place of the Most High doesn’t even know God nor have access to the secret place.
Please the sequence is, you must know God first and have access to the secret place before you can think of dwelling in there.
What I am trying to bring out here is that once we are assured that we are dwelling in the secret place, please be rest assured that God has assured that such people, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Please take the time to read and assimilate what God said in that Psalm 91. In verses, 4-7 says, “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
In verse 7, God also assured us that “A thousand may fall at our side, and ten thousand at our right hand; But it shall not come near us”.
Please the situation calls for our sober reflection as it is not who we say we are or subject to the title we bear that matters. Some bear the title of reverend or pastor, but they are not dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.
The question is whether we are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High or not and not the title we bear.
This is because the book of 2Timothy 2:19 says, “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity”
If you know God and assured that He knows you, please be rest assured that his promises will never fail no matter what. All that is necessary is to ensure that we do our own part and leave the rest to God.
The final thing God assured us in verse 16 of that Psalm 91 is “With long life, I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”
God has promised or assured us of a long life, so we must not allow the devil to cut short our lives using coronavirus. So we need to stand on the promises of God.
However, if the devil has afflicted you or your loved ones already using the coronavirus, please you need to rise up. You need to remember what Malachi 4:2 says, “But unto you, that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Having said that, please we need to read and digest that Psalm 91 and allow it to sink into our spirit man. Once such is done, it will surely create faith in us thereby locking every atom of fear in us.
I said this because many are been killed by coronavirus while a greater number are killed by fear. It was the fear of coronavirus that attracted the virus itself.
Finally, I wish to assure you that as long as we are abiding under the shadow of the Almighty God, as long as God is covering us with His feather, we rest assured that the coronavirus will never touch us.
Please be it known to you, FEAR is the devil’s weapon of mass destruction. So we need to do everything to replace fear with faith if we are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.
The bible said that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. We need to feed our spirit man with the word of God until faith rises in our spirit.
My dear, we shall all live to tell the story of how we overcome the coronavirus and other epidemics that the devil may bring out in the world. Shalom.
