Without missing words, it is all our heart desire to have a next-level breakthrough in every area of our life endeavors’. Last year was a good year for some people because they enjoyed various breakthroughs while as some; the year 2019 was a bad year as their expectations were not realized.
Whether you have breakthrough last year or not, you should realize that it is our input in life that determines our output. It is our actions yesterday that determine the results we are having today and our actions today that will determine the result we will get tomorrow.
In other words, we are responsible for determining if we will have a breakthrough or not. That calls for whether we are ready and prepared to pay the price of what it takes to enjoy next level breakthrough this year 2020.
The question of this topic is of paramount importance because as Bishop David Oyedepo puts it, it is foolishness to be doing the same thing repeatedly and yet expects to get a different result.
That is to say that if you keep repeating the exactly things you did last year this year; you may end up getting the result you had last year.
Moreover, some folks desire the next level breakthrough, but they are not ready or prepared to pay the price for that next level breakthrough. Others, they leave their lives to fate, willing to accept anything that fate throws at them.
Such people, fail to understand that life is not fair at all because it doesn’t deliver to us what we desire but only what we demand and paid for.
It is also said that life is like a school, and we must pass the exams of our present class before we are allowed to move to the next class.
My dear, having said that, this question is still left for us to answer, “How ready and prepared are we to move to the next class of life or to move to the next level breakthrough this year 2020?”
Those who are ready to see their desired breakthrough to be realized should take a clue from the bible as seen in 2Ch 27:6. It was said of Jotham, So Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
In other words, the starting point in having a genuine next level break though is having a divine encounter with God. The only way to have a divine encounter with God is to know him personally and that will enable you to prepare your way before Him.
Knowing God is one thing and walking according to the dictate of the scripture or ways of God is another thing. That is why Daniel 11:32 says, Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
Preparing ourselves before the Lord is what motivated many believers or churches to embark on 14 days fast, 21 days fast or 40 days fast as the case may be. Were you part of that ordinance or exercise?
Some may think that fasting in January will automatically guarantee their next level breakthrough, it is not so, other things must be in place. I said this because some fasted as a religious exercise, not for their encounter with God or destiny.
In other words, we don’t bribe God by our fasting but to humble and chastise ourselves before God. In the Bible, few people that really prepared themselves before God in order to have a divine encounter that led to their next level breakthrough in life are:
The first person was Joseph as we can see Genesis 39:1 – 20. Reading the above bible reference, you will see that Joseph resisted $exual temptation or pleasure because of his fear of God. As a result, look at what happened in Genesis 39: 21- 23 which says:
But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing.
The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper.
The second person is Daniel whom we can see in Daniel 1:8-9 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Because Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself, Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.
End of part one, please keep a date with us next as we will continue our discourse next in part two. Shalom!
