This is the second part of our discussion on “building a vibrant and aggressive faith for turnaround and exploits in the kingdom”. We started our discussion in part one last, so you need to go ahead to read it first if you have not.
In part one, we looked at prayer and fasting and the word of God as boasters we can use to build a vibrant and aggressive faith. We emphasized taking personal responsibility or personal commitment to use the two boasters mentioned in part one to build a vibrant and aggressive faith.
In addition to prayer and fasting and the word of God, we must equally ensure that we maintain a healthy spirit and body before we think of building a vibrant and aggressive faith. One way of doing so is by giving heed to what 3 John 2 said, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers”. NKJV
Being in good health does not only refer to physical health but spiritual health as well. What determines whether we will enjoy healthy bodies is the quality of the food we take. It is for that reason that experts discourage us from taking junk food.
In the same way, the quality of what we feed our spirit man determines if we will enjoy a healthy spirit man. Once our spirit man is not healthy, our physical body follows suit to break down.
It is for that reason that we should be conscious or careful of junk spiritual foods that end up poisoning our spirit man. No man or woman can manifest vibrant and aggressive faith if he/she feeds on junk spiritual foods.
What I am trying to bring out here is that as we are careful with what we take physically, we should equally be careful with what we take spiritually, which is spiritual junk food.
When we talk about junk spiritual foods, what come to mind are pornographic materials etc. It is unfortunate that some people are addicted to pornographic materials and yet expect to build a vibrant and aggressive faith.
Please be fully aware that the devil fights to ensure that we don’t have vibrant and aggressive faith. For that reason, he uses pleasures, especially $exual pleasures, to corrupt our spirit man.
Once our spirit man gets corrupted, the next thing is that the devil will sift us as wheat, as Satan desired to have Peter so that he may sift him as wheat.
We can see what happened in Luke 22:31-32 which says, “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” NIV
Here Jesus assured Peter that he had prayed for him that his faith may not fail. This is because the devil knows that faith failure is destiny failure. Once your faith fails, you can never manifest a vibrant and aggressive faith
What this entails is that we should be careful in taking junk spiritual food as it has the tendency of crashing our faith and making it fail. As said, one of the greatest weapons the devil uses is $exual pleasure. No wonder, $ex has been promoted almost everywhere.
Moreover, apart from prayer and fasting and as well as the word of God, we must as well be crazy about our spiritual knowledge if we expect to build a vibrant and aggressive faith.
For some people, their problem in life is that they lack certain spiritual knowledge. As a result, the devil takes advantage of them due to their ignorance of the devices of the devil.
If we are to build a vibrant and aggressive faith, we must be diligent and consciously spend quality time to empower our spirit man with knowledge and understanding.
We can do so by diligently and consciously spending quality time reading Christian books, magazines, and as well as articles of various men and women of God.
In reality, it is highly unfortunate that most Christians, even the so-called men/women of God especially my African brothers and sisters have lazy attitudes towards reading. Bishop David Oyedepo, a gospel legend, always hears him and often says that he is a product of books.
On the contrary, some other Christians are so lazy that they despise knowledge as they claim that they have no time. We cannot read Kenneth Hagin’s books and our faith will not come alive. It is the same thing with Bishop David Oyedepo’s books.
Apart from spending quality time reading spiritual materials in addition to Bible, our faith gets boasted by equally spending quality time listening to anointed audio or video messages of anointed men/women of God.
What you spend time feeding your spirit man determines what you manifest as well. As said, it is for that purpose that the devil concentrates on corrupting our spirit man by feeding our spirit man with junk material, especially from social media.
