In this life, some are so stagnated and fail in life as a result of the stronghold of the devil who laid endless siege against them. Some are suffering untold hardship as a result of such sieges.
There are other people, even to drink water, they have to fight for it. For that reason, some are very far behind their peers as everything they put their hands in turns out to be a failure because these strongholds make sure they don’t succeed in anything they do.
However, the tragedy is that most people are ignorant of these strongholds and their mission or what they stand for while others are ignorant of the devices of the enemy that empowers these strongholds. As such, they are not doing anything about it.
In reality, many people know or are aware that they have problems even though they never knew how the problem came about or the solutions to such problems. In other words, they are destroyed by the problems.
However, Jesus gave us an insight into how to secure freedom from all our problems. He said in John 8:32 saying that we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. In other words, true freedom hinges on having a true or correct/adequate knowledge of the truth.
You see, the power and celebration of darkness in any area of our lives is the absence of light. Once the light appears, darkness must disappear and darkness never shows up at all where there is adequate light.
All that is required of us is to go for adequate and correct knowledge that is relevant to any issue of our concern. That is to say that we should not leave our lives to fate or believe that what will be.
We must all take personal responsibility if we are to remedy the adverse situation facing us. Problems with some folks are that they claim to know what they don’t know. While the situation with others is that they spend time gathering knowledge that is irrelevant to solving the situation they are going through.
However, according to Bishop David Oyedepo, having knowledge only does not do us any good, but what we do with the knowledge we have. That is to say that we must be ready and willing to pay the price to put into practice what we know.
To have knowledge without application is like bragging or boasting that we have millions in the bank, but are unable to access that account. In other words, we must take personal responsibility or take correct and timely actions with the knowledge we have (what we know) otherwise it will yield us no benefit.
I wish therefore to join Paul to seek the knowledge that will make me not to be ignorant of the devices of the devil. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 2:11 “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices”.
Looking at what Paul said above, it is obvious that many are suffering under the siege of the stronghold of Satan because they allowed Satan to get an advantage over them because they were ignorant of the devices of Satan.
Having said that, In reality, one of the adequate knowledge you should all have is the knowledge of how the devil uses entertainment and pleasures, especially a $exual pleasure, to get an advantage over us.
As a Christian, a look at the book of Job 1: 8-10 gave us insight into the fact that God has made a hedge over our life and household. “Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
So Satan answered the LORD, and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? “Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
So, the only way the devil can get at us is to ensure that the hedge over our lives is broken by ourselves. The easiest way he does that is to use the pleasures of sin, especially $exual pleasures.
Look at what was said of Moses in Hebrew 11:24-26 which says, “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
Choosing rather suffer affliction with the people of God than enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
See also what happened to Joseph in Genesis 39:1-20. Satan saw the stars in Joseph as he sees similar stars in us, he did everything he could do to quench or remove the stars using $exual pleasure with Potiphar’s wife.
If Joseph had yielded to $exual pleasures, he would have ended up as a glorified slave/house boy in Egypt. You see, many pastors and Christians had been a terror to the kingdom of darkness, but today they are mere shadows of themselves as a result of engaging in $exual pleasures.
The reason is that once we get defiled by $exual pleasures, God’s hedge over us gets broken. Not only that, the person gets clothed in a filthy garment.
See what happened in Zechariah 3: 1 “Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him
The reason for what happened above is explained in Zechariah 3:3 “Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, stood before the angel”. Once you get clothed with filthy garments, the devil has the legal right to oppose you.
