On earth today, as we wait for the second appearance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there is one important gift every believer should seek and crave after.
That very gift, in which as we take hold of it, will enable us to go far in our spiritual journey. That very gift is the gift of the discerning spirit. The major reason is because of the warnings of the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 4:1-2
In the above Bible portion, Paul warned, saying, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.
Also, he warned in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 saying, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. Furthermore, in 2 Timothy 3:13 Paul cautioned, saying that “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
He equally warned in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 saying, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
What I am trying to bring out in these verses is the reasons we should crave to take hold of the discerning spirit, without which it is practically impossible to demarcate between the ministers of God and the ministers of the devil.
As you are aware, both wear designer suits and use microphones to shout “praise the Lord”, even using the spirit of deviations and sorcery to perform miracles.
One unfortunate issue is that these ministers of the devil seem to dominate the pulpit that genuine men/women of God look as if they are the fake men of God.
Having said that, there is the need to study and understand Jesus’s parable of the wheat and tares as seen in Mathew 13:24-30 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”‘”
One thing you should know about that parable is that our heart is the field in which both the wheat and tares are planted and grows. It is for that reason that both God and the devil try to use their ministers to plant either wheat or tares.
If therefore you lack discerning spirit and fail to discern the actual spirit in operation, you will end up, allowing lots of tares to grow in your heart. This is the main mission of the devil using his ministers.
In view of this, we need to take heed of the words of Paul in Titus 1:15-16 which says, “To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience are defiled.
One thing Paul said that we should take note of is that they profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.
Look at also 2 Timothy 3:1-5 which says, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
From the words of Paul, is that the men and women that are ministers of the devil, are lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, and they have a form of godliness but deny its power.
Before ending this post, I will not fail to give a few examples of ministers and agents of the devil so that you be cautious as you swallow information they push across to you.
The first from Nigeria is called Maureen Badejo and goes by the YouTube channel Maureenbadejosblog TV. She is one of the daughters of Jezebel, whose ministry is aimed at running down men/women of God.
As far as she is concerned, there is no genuine man/woman of God that she spares, and always digs deep to find any fault in men of God. Her mission is to corrupt your spirit against every man/woman of God so that you will not listen to the messages of any man or woman of God.
Don’t be deceived, there are men and women who are given over to reprobate minds who surround her channel to sing her praises. As said, all that the devil wishes to use her to accomplish is to pollute your spirit against men/women of God.
The second person is called George and goes by the YouTube channel of BeingRealGeorge tv and GeorgeVlogs. Please, one thing you should know about George is that the devil anointed him to run down men of God.
Particularly, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, because of his global impact around the globe. The said George in collaboration with the daughters of Jezebel is doing everything to discredit Apostle Suleiman.
Please, their aim is to pollute the minds and spirits of men /women against the Apostle. I am glad his mission failed woefully, as he ended up advertising Apostle Suleiman.
As well, many sons and daughters of Belial with reprobate min surround his channel to voice their support and praise of his actions.
It is said that a word is enough for the wise, and Luke 7:35 says, “But wisdom is justified by all her children.” Shalom!
