This is the third article of the faith series. In this segment, we shall be discussing “engaging violent Faith for our exploits, turn around and breakthrough”. While Jesus was on earth, he once made a profound statement in Mathew 11:12 saying,”And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. (NK JV)
From the words of Jesus above, it is obvious that if we are ever going to fulfill our destiny, if we are to do exploits in this kingdom, then we all must engage in violent and aggressive faith otherwise the devil will never allow us to fully realize our desired miracles, turn around and breakthrough. This is because it is our faith that taps into divine virtues.
What then is faith? The book of Hebrew 11:1-3 defined faith for us, saying, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things that are seen were not made of things that do appear. (KJV)
That is to say that we can never amount to anything in this kingdom beyond what our faith can deliver to us. This means that what is delivered to us can never go beyond the level of faith in which we are operating in.
For that reason, faith is said to be the beauty and color of Christianity. In other words, the quality of our Christian walk is a function of the quality of faith that we employ or operate. That is, how violent is our faith?
It is for that reason that the book of Hebrew 11:6 equally said something, “And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”. (NIV)
Moreover, according to a gospel legend and an apostle of faith, (Bishop David Oyedepo), he defined faith as “a living force, drawn from the living Word to produce living proofs”.
According to him(Oyedepo) faith is not just believing that God can do something; it is being moved to do something (violently) to prove that we believe. In other words, it is our actions that prove that we believe or proves our faith.
Often, it may not be convenient for us to excise violent faith but if it is commanded, we must engage in it because that is the only way or what determines the happenings in our individual lives and destiny.
The book of Hebrews 11:6 equally explained faith further, saying, “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Also, Bishop Oyedepo speaking further about faith, said that Faith is the only way to move God in our direction and as well as the only way to stop the devil from molesting us (Ephesians 6:16).
No wonder, the devil is doing everything possible to throttle our faith or to ensure that our faith is down as he launches unprecedented attacks against our faith to cause our faith to fail. His main reason is that he knew that our faith failure is destiny failure.
It seems that it was for the reason that Jesus once looked at Peter in Luke 22:31-32 and said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” NK JV
It is therefore pertinent that we do everything possible to safeguard our faith from failing as a result of the onslaught of the devil against our faith.
In addition, Bishop Oyedepo also described faith as a covenant trigger for the manifestation of the power of God. That is, it is faith that triggers the flow of virtue, which brings about our exploits in healing, health, and wholeness.
According to Isaiah 14:27, 43:14, 53:1, It is Faith, therefore, that brings God’s hand to bear on our affairs for exploits. When our Faith comes alive, it brings God’s hand to bear on our situations and when He stretches forth His hand, no one can turn it back.
This is the reason no force from hell can stop violent faith from having its way (Hebrews 11:32-34). Remember what we discussed in the post “where is your faith”. It is pertinent to question the level of our violent faith when certain things are not working according to our desires and expectations, rather than blaming other persons.
I said this because some are fond of blaming pastors and other men of God, labeling them as fake pastors if they fail to get their miracle headings or deliverances. Often, it is our faith problem and not the other way round.
It is our violent faith that engages the Word of God in order to enforce the delivery of our desires and expectations in life and destiny. That is what makes faith a vital force that gets the job done. As long as our faith is in place, we remain in command over every issue of life and destiny.
Show me, therefore, a man/woman that is in full command of faith, and I will show you a man/woman that is living a fulfilled life and destiny. It is faith that puts us in command over every issue of our life.
It is, therefore, necessary to build our faith to ensure that it is fully in command to take charge of our possession and inheritance in destiny.
As long as our faith is in place, we remain in command over every issue of life. The book of Ephesians 6:16 concluded by saying, “above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one”. NK JV.
From all indications, we all need to engage in violent and aggressive faith if we desire to have testimonies to tell. Shalom!
