This is the second part of our discussion on the topic “eternal and intense battle for the control of your soul, who wins”?. I hope that you have read part one for a better understanding. If not, GO HERE to read part one.
In continuation in this segment therefore , I still wish to emphasize on what I said in part one, where i pointed out that one of the prevailing tragedy that is bedeviling mankind is the problem of ignorance of not knowing that there is an eternal and intense battle for the control of the soul of man.
It is for this reason that many are ignorantly giving in or allowing the devil to be in control of their soul. Apart from ignorance of the fact that there is an eternal and intense battle for the control of our soul, another is ignorance of the knowledge of the truth about their life and destiny.
No wonder, God lamented in Hos 4:6a, saying, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. NK JV. He equally said in Isaiah 5:13 Therefore my people have gone into captivity, Because they have no knowledge. NK JV
Talking about knowledge, King David has this to say in Psalm 82:5 saying, “they know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. KJV
What I am trying to point out is that ignorance is one of the greatest weapon that the devil uses to win back the souls of believers that had earlier left the camp of the devil.
It is for that reason that so many people who claim to be born again even pastors will find themselves in hell even though they desired and expected to find themselves in heaven.
We should therefore remember that while Jesus was on earth, He once looked at the Jews in John 8:31-32 and said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” NK JV
So what the devil does is he fights to keep us from knowing the truth. He does so by manipulating us through laziness not to read and understand the bible truths of certain kingdom mysteries.
Talking about reading and understanding certain Bible mysteries, so many are like the Ethiopian Eunuch as seen in Acts 8:29-31. The Ethiopian Eunuch was reading the scripture, but were not understanding what he was reading.
That passages said, then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
The Ethiopian Eunuch was sincere as he said to Philip, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.
You see, many believers are not sincere like the Ethiopian Eunuch. Such believers are reading the bible but it is making no meaning to them, yet they feel too big to attend bible study classes.
For that reason, they will continue to wallow in spiritual ignorance of biblical truth of certain mysteries as long as they refuse someone to guides them. It is the devil that ensures that people don’t have time to attend bible studies.
Moreover, I want us to look at what God said in Jeremiah 3:15 where He said, “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding”.
The devil is winning the control of the soul of many by fighting to prevent them from being under any pastor that could feed them with knowledge and understanding.
The devil does so by using his agents, especially men and women with reprobate minds, to run down pastors as to create offense in your heart against pastors.
The reason is that biblical truth can never pass from any pastor that you are offended in. Secondly, the devil empowers most of his agents who claim to be pastors with signs and lying wonders.
For that reason, many are deceived, not knowing which are the genuine pastors. Please, for avoidance of doubts, you know a genuine pastors or men/women of God not by the miracles they are performing, but by the ability to feed you with knowledge and understanding.
When you are well feed with adequate knowledge and understanding, you will not be running after miracles as yourself will be miracles yourself.
One knowledge I wish that it sink into the bottom of your heart is that all these falsehoods against pastors is to prevent you from listening to the messages of these pastors so as not to receive knowledge and understanding from them.
