In this life and our society, many people are running around searching for miracles, especially miracles of healing. Some testify of getting miracle healing from some ailments that amazed some medical personnel.
However, some could not get their healing from even minor ailments. The reason some get miracle healing from bigger problems while some fail to get miracle healing even from minor ailments under the same pastor is what calls for questions.
Some testify of receiving their healing, but soon after they are back to square one for the same issues. That is the reason a man or woman of God may minister healing and some receive healing, but others could not?.
In this segment of our study, we shall be looking at some major reasons this is so. Understanding this will help you, in particular, to receive your healing if you are searching for miracle healing.
Before we go ahead,, we need to understand various kinds of healing that took place in the Bible, and much more healing was transmitted. In the bible, there are times healing took place because God decided to show his power and mercy. Here, the faith of the individual needing healing was not required.
A good instance of this can be seen in Acts 3:2-8 which says, Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.
When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!”
So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
Also, John 5:1-9 says, After this, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity of thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.
In the two illustrations above, the two people were healed without their faith. However, see what happened in Acts 14:8-10 which says, And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.
This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice,”Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.
Here, the man was healed because he gave heed to Paul’s messages which built faith in him which Paul saw that he has faith to be healed therefore commanded him to stand up on his feet.
However, the situation was different from what in the healing of the two blind men by Jesus, as can be seen in Mathew 9:27-29. As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”
When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”;
These instances of healing really explain the reasons some receive healing, why some do not receive their healing. That is to say, some people are expecting the similar things that happened to the crippled man in Acts 3:2-8 to happen to them.
In other words, they expect healing without their own faith. This is not always the case, because of Jesus’s encounter with the two blind men, he stated the obvious, when he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “
Yes, Lord,” was their answer, Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”.
A practical instance is what happened with a Nigeria time International footballer, Daniel Amokachi. The said Daniel Omokachi was in search of healing. According to him, he said that he slept at late prophet T.B Joshua’s church altar for weeks but got no miracle.
One striking issue with the said Daniel Omokachi was that he testified that he saw many people get healed, but he did not get healed himself.
The situation with Daniel Omokachi is the same with many people who expect to receive their healing without their own faith. Daniel Omokachi like most people was passing the blame to prophet TB Joshua while he was the person responsible for not receiving healing.
To understand what I am saying, I wish to illustrate what happened in the late Kenneth E Hagin ministry many years ago. According to that story, one woman came to the late Kenneth E. Hagin for healing.
The said woman started enumerating or mentioning many other men of God that had prayed for her, but she was not healed. The late Kenneth Hagin refused to pray for her, saying that she lacked faith that his prayer will not do anything for her.
Besides, Kenneth Hagin told her that he doesn’t want to be added to the men of God that had prayed for her, and she did not get healed. When did the woman see where the problem was, asked Hagin what she needed to do?
Kenneth E. Hagin led her to Christ and after guiding her to pray for herself, she should command that issue to go. After the woman had prayed for herself, she instantly received her miracle healing
To be continued in part two. Shalom!
