Dr. Sunday Adelaja, a former Pastor based in Ukraine, when you consider and analyze his various activities of recent, his outburst and attacks on other men of God in Nigeria.
Ordinarily, you may think that the said Sunday Adelaja is a perfect man or a saint while as he is such a horrible and rotten person that needs to be pitied rather than celebrated based on his various crimes that does not speak good of a person that called himself or claimed to be a man of God.
DSA as he is fondly called is such a hypocrite of the highest order. The said Sunday Adelaja is proved to preach false messages yet he tend to labels or accuse other men of God preaching the true gospel, of being fake pastors and preaching false doctrines.
It was DSA’S activities and his preaching false doctrines that resulted in leaders of evangelical churches in Ukraine to sign a statement in which they, among other things, dissociate themselves from Sunday Adelaja and his activities on the 28th December 2008.
They among other thing accused him of trying to create a cult of personality, and accused him of using methods and activity based on self-advertisement, exaggeration of personal merits, teaching the doctrine of prosperity and the sin of love of money, and his practice of cursing the church members and parishioners who disagree with his opinion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday_Adelaja
In addition, on April 25th, 2016 the same heads of the Evangelical Churches of Ukraine issued an appeal or warning to the believers about the activities of Nigerian Sunday Adelaja.
Their Address Reads:
“We consider it necessary to reaffirm our spiritual position, which has been voiced more than once since 2008:
1. Sunday Adelaja is not a clergyman in the gospel understanding and cannot be one, since he is a morally destroyed person and a charlatan who requires deep repentance and professional treatment.
2. The elders who support and cover him, in the same way, cannot be priests in the church, since they are accomplices of Sunday Adelaja’s great sin.
3. In the Body of the Lord, both Sunday Adelaja and the elders who cover him have committed themselves to anathema.
4. Religious communities that remained in the sphere of influence of the “Embassy of God” cannot be considered churches, since they separated themselves from the evangelical community, as they turned away from the truth of the Gospel, supporting their wicked, totalitarian leader.
We warn believers about these figures so that they do not turn out to be deceived and spiritually destroyed. With great pastoral love, we pray that all our people will be guided in their lives only by pious and pure principles based solely on the written Word of God – the Bible.
Let the Holy Scriptures become and will be the only reliable foundation for the successful development of Ukraine and a happy, harmonious life for each of its citizens. “
In addition, not comfortable with only appealing or warning about Sunday Adelaja, they took action in which on Monday, 18th July, 2016 defrocked pastor Sunday Adelaja as punishment after news about his multiple affairs broke out.
As a result of defrocking Sunday Adelaja, the Russian Associated Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith (ROSKhVE) also removed him from all forms of church ministry including preaching, counseling, and leadership.
Until Adelaja is restored to his ministry, he will not be able to participate in church ministries. Please, I wish to point out or clarify something about defrocking.
As it was said, to defrock Sunday Adelaja means that his ministerial license as a minister was revoked. What that means is that DSA can never be found to stand in any pulpit to preach both in Ukraine in particular and the whole of Europe in general.
Have you ever considered the reason DSA was confined to one room studio from where he makes video trash he uploads on social media. His ministry is only based in social media and nowhere else.
Please prove me wrong by asking him what happened to his former church in Ukraine that was sometime reputed to be the largest in Europe. Why was the church disbanded and is no more?.
Regarding the statement of leaders or heads of the Evangelical Churches of Ukraine about Sunday Adelaja in their warning to the believers about the activities of Sunday Adelaja.
According to the said heads of the Evangelical Churches of Ukraine, they said that Sunday Adelaja is not a clergyman in the gospel understanding and cannot be one, since he is a morally destroyed person and a charlatan who requires deep repentance and professional treatment.
It would also interest you to know that DSA’s church got disbanded because the heads of the Evangelical Churches of Ukraine in addition considered and said that religious communities that remained in the sphere of influence of the “Embassy of God” cannot be considered churches, since they separated themselves from the evangelical community, as they turned away from the truth of the Gospel, supporting their wicked, totalitarian leader.
The heads of the Evangelical Churches of Ukraine that signed to defrock Sunday Adelaja were as follows:
1.Anatoly Gavriliuk, senior bishop of the Center of Independent Charismatic Churches of Ukraine;
2.Philip Savochka, senior pastor of the Association of Salvation Churches;
3.Boris Grisenko, rabbi of the Jewish Missionary Community of Kiev;
4.Sergei Baliuk, bishop of the Association of the Christian Evangelical Church of the Living God;
5.Valery Reshetinsky, bishop of the Ukrainian Missionary Church association;
6.Aleksey Demadovich, bishop of the Church of God of Ukraine;
7.Alexander Rudinets, bishop of the Kingdom of God association;
8.Andrei Tishchenko, bishop of the New Generation Church;
9.Vadim Shepilov, senior pastor of the Good News Church.
If Sunday Adelaja is a man that knew shame, he would be hiding his face by now but still bragging because he thought that people don’t know his activities in Ukraine, and he will do every thing possible to keep people from knowing the truth about him.
In summary, what I am trying to point out to you is that DSA currently has mo ministry or church. For that reason, he tries to destroy the ministries of other pastors.
His various lawsuits in Ukraine had stagnated him in Ukraine, where he is neither here nor there. The major reason these lawsuits still lingers is to punish him as he cannot leave Ukraine. Pray for him that he don’t end up in jail.
