Dr. Sunday Adelaja aka DSA is a man that many people in an actual sense have no slightest knowledge of his life and person. For that reason, I am afraid to say that some people, as a result of their ignorance about the person of DSA, could wake up one day only to realize that spiritual poison had been injected into their Spirit man.
I said this because in Nigeria and Ukraine in particular, there are some die-hard followers and loyalists of DSA. Yet they knew little or nothing about DSA or rather they choose not to know or believe anything about the false and horrible lifestyle and personality of DSA.
Such people are ready to fight anybody that said anything bad about DSA. However, I wish to emphasize that such people could wake up one day with regret after they realized that they have on their own made a shipwreck of their faith. This is because of believing or accepting some false and satanic messages of DSA.
I said this because the book of Proverbs 29:1 cautioned us, saying, “He who is often rebuked and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy.
Also, Proverbs 16:5 equally says, “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand joins in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
These well-researched articles, therefore, are coming your way, with the aim of bringing to you true information about the untold stories about DSA. And this is to enable you in particular to make the right decisions and judgments about him.
The Humble Beginning Of Dr. Sunday Adelaja.
Obviously, it is necessary that we, first and foremost, know who Sunday Sunkanmi Adelaja or DSA as he is fondly called was. Sunday Adelaja was born in the village of Idomila Ijebu-Ode, southwest Nigeria. He became a Christian in March 1986 just before graduating from high school. Please mark or note this date.
I said you should mark this date because it is important for our discussion. The same year (1986) after his graduation from high school, Sunday Adelaja left the shores of Nigeria because he received a scholarship to study journalism at the Belarusian State University in Minsk, Belorussian USSR.
After his graduation as a journalist from the Belarusian State University in Minsk, Belorussian USSR, DSA, then moved from Belarus to Ukraine in December 1993 after the breakdown of the USSR.
From the above record, I wish to emphasize that DSA was born again in March 1986 and the same year, 1986 left the shores of Nigeria. This was because he received a scholarship to study journalism at the Belarusian State University in Minsk, Belorussian USSR.
In other words, DSA was still a very baby Christian before he left the shores of Nigeria, as he has no time to be nurtured up or rooted in the ways of the Lord.
Incidentally, it was equally a heathen nation where Christianity has no root that Sunday Adelaja went to school.
In an actual sense, Sunday Adelaja was still a novice as a Christian, even at the time he claimed that God called him into ministry.
One of the greatest mistakes Sunday Adelaja made was his lunching out as a full minister of the gospel without going to any Bible School. At least that would have helped him to receive some Biblical training to enable him to get rooted in some Christian principles and doctrines.
You should recall that a similar thing happened to a certain Jew named Apollos in the bible, as seen in Acts 18:24-26. It was said of Apollos, “Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, was an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, he came to Ephesus.
This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.
So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
That is exactly what happened to Sunday Adelaja. DSA just like Apollos was an orator and a powerful speaker. However, having very inadequate knowledge and understanding of the gospel. Obviously, Apollos would have made a mess of the gospel, if not for the timely intervention of the couple Aquila and Priscilla, who guided him aright.
It was the said, Aquila and Priscilla, that took Apollos aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. The same applied to Sunday Adelaja, but the case with Sunday Adelaja was that he could not accept receiving any spiritual guidance because he felt that no person was qualified enough to guide him spiritually.
Please, one thing you should know about Sunday Adelaja was that he started as a Russian language interpreter to Bishop (Dr.) Francis Wale-Oke whenever he carried out evangelistic outreaches to Russia.
It started one time Bishop (Dr.) Francis Wale-Oke requested an interpreter while in Russia. According to Bishop (Dr.) Francis Wale-Oke was shocked when they brought Sunday Adelaja for him.
The said Bishop (Dr.) Francis Wale-Oke initially protested on how he could have a fellow Nigerian to be interpreting his messages in the Russian language for him.
The people convinced Bishop (Dr.) Francis Wale-Oke that DSA knows how to speak the Russian language even better than some citizens. That was how Wale Oke allowed him to be interpreted for him.
In other words, allowing DSA to be interpreting the messages of Bishop (Dr.) Francis Wale-Oke in the Russian language was what exposed DSA to preaching. Upon his graduation and movement to Ukraine, DSA thought of no other job than to preach.
One other thing you should know about DSA was that he lacked in-depth knowledge and understanding of the scriptures or true gospel, as he was not grounded or nurtured in the true gospel. DSA started the so-called ministry not preaching the true gospel, rather he specialized in preaching MOTIVATIONAL MESSAGES.
You will observe that even to date, Sunday Adelaja’s does not preach spiritual or gospel messages, but rather he still preaches motivational messages of how to succeed and make it in life.
Of course; these motivational messages, at that time, were marketable as they captured the interest/attention and acceptance of some of the Ukrainians who were at that time ravaged by poverty.

Here, nine leaders of the Spiritual Council of Evangelical Churches in Ukraine signed a statement in which they, among other things, dissociate themselves from Sunday Adelaja and his activities.
The Said Spiritual Council accused DSA of trying to create a cult of personality and as well as using methods and activities based on self-advertisement, and exaggeration of personal merits.
Teaching the doctrine of prosperity and the sin of love of money, and his practice of cursing the church members and parishioners who disagree with his opinion.
