One of the greatest problems and tragedy of our society today is ignorance, especially ignorance of who we are and as well as the outright rejection of who we are.
At the same time, some are trying to imitate others instead of taking personal responsibility to improve on who they are. This has ended up to cause identity crises in the lives of many, especially ladies.
Even the redeemed and saints of the Lord, they are not left out as some are living false lives, imitating others and trying to be what they are not. They are trying to be like or live other person’s lives which they are not created to be.
In other words, it is this resultant effect that had caused identity crises in many. It is for that reason that you see some ladies putting on a hairdo or wearing certain kinds of clothes or generally living certain false lifestyles, all in an effort to secure the attention of men or feel that they belong.
Some ended up even destroying their very person in which they were created to be. That forms the reason you see some who were created female but went and changed their $ex to become male.
The same applies to some, originally, they were created male but had gone and changed to become female. Apart from that, some had outrightly changed their complexion, turning their complexion to another.
Also, apart from changing one’s $ex, there are those who do all sort of in plants, ranging from butts in plants to even Brest in plant.
It is for that reason that you see all manner of unimaginable things ladies are doing on social media. These are men and women trying to discover their identity.
These men and women, by failing to identify who they are and some who are not proud of who they are, there as the rejected who they are by trying to be other people.
I wish further to point out that most of these men/women, they really don’t know nor understand what they are doing or what are influencing them to do what they are doing.
It is for that reason that some even personally ended their own lives by committing suicide. The great numbers of people, they are living their lives to fate there by living far below their potentials.
Of a truth, it is highly unfortunate and a great tragedy that in this life, some people had left their lives to fate as they accept anything that fate throws at them.
It is such people that are not bothered about what happened to their destiny. In addition, such people are not bothered about their actions or what they do or fails to do in life.
These calls for each of us to take personal responsibility to discover who we are and the purpose for our living. Of course, it is very difficult to discover who you are, and your purpose of existence without peace with your maker or creator.
It is unfortunate that some are at war with their maker, consciously rebelling against Him, while some even went and sold their souls to the devil and as such are candidate of hell.
That is the reason it pains me to see saints and redeemed of the Lord trying to imitate and dress like those that had sold their souls to the devil.
Talking about personal responsibility, it is said that every object assumes a state of rest until relevant forces are applied to it. That means that we may never change who we are but can take personal responsibility to transform who we are.
For instance, one example from the Bible of a person who took personal responsibility to transform who he was. His name was Jephthah.
Please go ahead and read the story in judges chapter 11. As we can see from Judges 11:1, it was recorded of Jephthah that he was the son of a harlot.
“Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, and he was the son of a harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah”.
Because Jephthah was the son of a harlot, it was said that when the sons of the legal wife of Gilead, Jephthah’s father grew up, they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.
Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.
Even though Jephthah ran away and could not be part of sharing in the inheritance of his father’s, yet he took personal responsibility that later in life made him to became one of the Judges in Israel.
That is to say, no matter the circumstances of our birth, taking personal responsibility and refusing to trade blames, we can transform our lives to stand before kings.
All that is required as we saw in Proverbs 22:29 which says, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”
Another personality was the woman called Ruth. The said Ruth was a Mobite widow, married to an Israelite man when they were in the land of Moab. Please see Ruth 1:1–
Despite being a Moabite woman, because of the personal responsibility she took, God accepted her to be of the genealogy of Jesus. See Mathew 1;5
Finally, another personality that is worth mentioning was Joseph as we can see in Genesis 39. Despite being a slave boy, he took personal responsibility by refusing to engage in $exual pleasure with his master’s wife.
According to Genesis 39:9b, Joseph said to Potiphar’s wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
Knowing who we are and the essence of our living, that is to know where we are going, which will compel us to take personal responsibility to ensure that we get there by refusing all the traps of the devil through pleasures of sin.
Please don’t betray who you are and accept and be ready to take personal responsibility for the sake of your destiny. Shalom!
