In the land of Israel, of all the ladies that were still virgins at that period, it was Mary that God decided to choose and used her womb to give birth to our Lord Jesus Christ. The angel Gabriel when he visited her said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you”. Luke 1:28.
What the angel told Mary could give us an insight as to the reason God decided to choose her, the angel told her that “she was highly favored”, and also “that the Lord was with her”. That is to say, God’s favor and His presence in the life of Mary was the master key that unlocked her destiny.
For that reason, I laughed greatly at an apostate Sunday Adelaja, seeing one of his Satanic teachings on YouTube captioned “You Don’t Need To Pray For Favor Or Sow Seeds To Prosper”
That teaching of Sunday Adelaja is an obvious fact that DSA possesses a reprobate mind and can no longer reason correctly. I said this because a man that calls himself a pastor, to despise the grace and favor of God is serious and shows that he has been given over to a reprobate mind.
In this segment of our discourse, we shall therefore be looking at God’s favor and as well as His presence, which is actually the master key to unlocking one’s destiny.
Apart from Virgin Mary where God showed divine favor, Esther was another lady that really proved that God’s favor is a master key that unlocks one’s destiny. For the record, the said Esther was one of the captive girls from Israel.
Not only that Esther was a captive girl, but she was also an orphan and by all standards a village girl who doesn’t even know how to make up as seen from her record. In fact, the only quality Esther had that qualifies her to enter into the competition to be selected to replace Queen Vashti was that she was a virgin.
The book of Esther 2:15 actually told us what happened. It says, now when the turn came for Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised.
And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. As a result of Esther obtaining favor in the sight of all that saw her, the king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.
As a lady, therefore, the story of Esther shows one of the reasons you are still single despite that you are endowed with beauty to behold and as well as being diligent. The major reason you are still single is that you may be lacking the oil of the favor of God.
It is for that reason that you see some ladies who are considered less beautiful or even considered to be ugly, yet they are getting married before you; the reason is that such ladies are clothed with the oil of God’s favor.
Again, what of the story of Daniel and the three Hebrew boys Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah as seen in Daniel 1:19-20? Because of God’s presence with them, after the four men graduated from the university in Babylon, they were brought before the king.
Then the king interviewed them, and among them all, none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king.
Verse 20 recorded the king’s findings in his interview with them. That verse says, and in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.
Also, see what happened in the book of Daniel 5:5-12 when there was a handwriting on the wall in Babylon? That passage says, in the same hour the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote opposite the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Then the king’s countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened, and his knees knocked against each other.
The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke, saying to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing and tells me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck; and he shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”
Now all the king’s wise men came, but they could not read the writing, or make known to the king its interpretation. Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled, his countenance was changed, and his lords were astonished.
The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came to the banquet hall. The queen spoke, saying, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your countenance change.
There is a man in your kingdom, in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father — your father the king — made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.
Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas* were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”
From the above passages, the queen confirmed in verse 12 saying that inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas* were found in this Daniel because God’s presence was with him.
Daniel 6:3 equally confirmed it, saying, Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king gave thought to set him over the whole realm.
In Bible history, one of the most successful individuals recorded was Joseph. The Book of Genesis 39:21 says, “But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison”.
Obviously, it was the same God’s favor that catapulted Joseph from being a prisoner to the position of prime minister. If it was not God’s favor, what is it that could elevate a slave boy, a foreigner, to the position of prime minister?
I said this because if it was only his diligence, then I will tell you that there were many Egyptians that were more diligent than him in Egypt at that time.
The man of God Samuel, was he successful as a man of God? Yes, he was, the book of 1 Samuel 2:26 gave us insight into why he was successful, “and the child Samuel grew on, and was in favor both with the LORD and also with men”.
My dear, seek to be clothed with the oil of God’s favor, and your story in life will have a positive change or turn around as you will be flying higher or greater glory.
On the other hand, you could struggle and die in frustration if you lack the presence and the favor of God if you go on with what DSA is teaching.
