In this world today, it is a matter of choice as we all have our life to live. In other words, you have your life to live, and I have mine to live, as we all strive to fulfill our destiny in life. However, there are some who fail to fulfill their destiny in life because they chose to partner with the devil and his agents.
What we get out of life is determined by what we invest in our life, or whether we are partnering with God or the devil. To this end, Solomon in all his glory later observed in life in Ecclesiastes 1:2 that Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
He, therefore, made a point in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 which says, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
He also pointed out in Ecclesiastes 8:6 that “Because for every matter there is a time and judgment, though the misery of man increases greatly.” And in chapter 8:11 he said that because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
Furthermore, Solomon argued in chapters 8:12-13 that though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.
But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God. In addition, Solomon has something to say to the young men and women who feel that they have the right to live their lives the way they like.
He pointed out in Ecclesiastes 11:9 where he said, “Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment.
After all was said and done and as a result of all that he said above, he said finally that “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
In other words, whether you believe and accept God or not, remember we shall all stand before the judgment of God to answer for everything we have done, including every secret of ours. If I were you, I will heed the advice of Solomon, which cautions us to fear God, and keeps his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. The major reason why we should fear God and keep His commandment is that God has a message for us in Isaiah 3:10-11
“Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
