Throughout the scripture are scattered numerous promises of God. However, none of the promises of God is without an attached condition, we must fulfill them before such promises are fulfilled, or before we take possession of such promises.
That is to say that for every promise of God in the Bible, there are terms or conditions that man must fulfill before God fulfill his part. However, our major problem is that we are quick to claim the promises of God without bothering to fulfill our own part or meet the terms of the promise.
Prophet Isaiah really or clearly stated it in Isaiah 1:19 saying, “If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land”. Job equally confirmed it in Job 36:11 saying, “If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures”.
Like the prophet Isaiah said, it is only when we are willing and obedient that qualifies us to stand the chance to eat the good of the land. That is to say, it takes our willingness and obedience which qualifies us to enjoy the promises of God in the scripture.
In reality, some are willing and expectant of enjoying the best of the land, but they are not ready and willing to obey or fulfill the requirements or fulfill the conditions attached or necessary to enjoy the good of the land.
On the other, there are those who are obedient to the terms of the promises, but they are not willing to eat the good of the land because of their ignorance or lack of the knowledge that their obedience had qualified them to enjoy the good of the land.
For instance, look at what John the beloved said in 3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
In reality, some quote or claim this verse of the scripture, yet they are not prospering because they neglected first the prosperity of their soul. Here, we will prosper based on the level of the prosperity of our souls.
As Job equally pointed out in Job 36:11 saying, “If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures”. Here, Job went beyond obeying God to serving him in addition.
For that reason, some are living far below their destiny. I really laugh at people who mock God and his prophets(pastors) as I see such people as people of ignorance and destitute of truth.
Referring to Job 36:11 which says that “If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures”. One way our obedience is really required is our having strong faith in God.
King Jehoshaphat puts it this way in 2 Chronicle 20:20 “believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper”.
What Jehoshaphat said above is very crucial because some are really unaware of the reasons they are stagnated in life, not knowing that it is because they are mocking God and his prophets by their actions and lifestyles.
The book of 2 Chronicles 36:16 puts it this way, “but they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy”.
Such people that possessed reprobate minds and destitute of the truth, you always see them taking pleasure in abusing or mocking genuine men/women of God but at the same time praising fake pastors in social media.
Their mission is solely to get you not to believe the genuine men/women of God that God had positioned to feed you with knowledge and understanding, but rather to believe diviners and sorcerers that call themselves pastors, whose mission is to destroy your faith in God.
These diviners and sorcerers, because they can give you accurate prophecies or tell you the most secret things in your life, such diviners and sorcerers are well celebrated on social media while they are destroying people’s faith in God.
On the other hand, there are people who really believed in God and God’s prophets because they believed that “God confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers” as the prophet Isaiah puts it in Isaiah 44:26.
One practical instance is what happened some years ago when pastor E. A Adeboye was to roof the old auditorium at the Redemption Camp. The cost of the roofing was N25 billion and Adeboye wanted only 25 people to do the roofing with N1 billion each.
However, one person who was present in that meeting accepted to provide the money(The 25 Billion) for the roofing alone. Do you think that that man went broke as a result? Capital NO is the answer, rather, the man may now be counting his money in the trillions.
For a man, to single-handed release, 25 billion Naira is real proof that he believed in God and his prophet, pastor E.A Adeboye, while some who say they believed in God but do not believe the prophet of God, are struggling to release their ten thousand to the church.
Another practical instance was with respect to Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel. Some people who were nobody before they joined Winners Chapel but because of their encounter with God through Oyedepo they are now made and are now multi-millionaire.
Some of those people, who were nobody before, yet released millions of naira for the building of the Faith Theater by Winners Chapel. If such people did not believe the man of God, do you think they would have succeeded the way they are now and to release such amounts of money?.
Please, one thing you should know is that many are breaking forth left, right and center because they are willing and obedient. It is therefore a crime against our destiny to be left behind because we are not willing and obedient.
