In this world, it is a fact that life is not fair at all, it does not deliver to us what we deserve but only delivers to us what we demand. Looking at the BIBLE, on the life of King David, he was so peculiar because he received divine help from above.
As a king of Israel, he fought the highest number of wars yet did not lose any battle because Jehovah God was his Ebenezer, his helper.
He was as well the only king of Israel who reigned for years, retired and handed over to another king while he is still alive.
One notable reason for the above was his total dependence on GOD for His divine help and was marvelously helped by the Almighty GOD.
Look at what he said in psalm 121 verses 1 and 2, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
The problem with many folks is that instead of seeking help from GOD, they seek and rely on men for their help.
Not that the help from men are not important, the point is that when GOD is moved to help you, HE will move and cause men to help you.
David cautioned us on the futility of only seeking help from men, Psalm146:3 & 5 put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God. Also, Palms 60:11” Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man”.
When GOD decides to help a man, no other oppositions could be taken into account. Look at what happened in the book of Esther chapter 5, in that story, Haman had perfected plan to destroy the Jews and Mordecai particularly who he made gallows which he planned to hang him.
However, GOD intervened and stopped Haman while HE helped Mordecai as can be seen in Esther 6:1,” that night the king could not sleep.
So one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles, and they were read before the king.
And it was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, the doorkeepers who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus”.
Then the king said, “What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” And the king’s servants who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”
So the king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the king’s palace to suggest that the king hangs Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
The king’s servants said to him, “Haman is there, standing in the court.” And the king said, “Let him come in.” So Haman came in, and the king asked him, “What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?”
Now Haman thought in his heart, “Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”
And Haman answered the king, “For the man whom the king delights to honor, “let a royal robe be brought which the king has worn, and a horse on which the king has ridden, which has a royal crest placed on its head.
“Then let this robe and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes that he may array the man whom the king delights to honor.
Then parade him on horseback through the city square, and proclaim before him: ‘Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!’”
Then the king said to Haman, “Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have suggested, and do so for Mordecai the Jew who sits within the king’s gate!
Leave nothing undone of all that you have spoken.” You can read the end of the story.
How to access these divine help
To access these help, we must first have personal relationships with GOD and consciously strive to live lives pleasing to GOD.
Secondly, we must trust and approach GOD in prayer in total dependency on Him. It is our total dependence on GOD that proves to HIM that we need and deserve HIS divine help.
In 2Kings 6:27a the king of Israel said, “If the LORD does not help you, where can I find help for you?
In 2 chronicles chapter 20:3 and 4 “And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah”.
So Judah gathered together to ask help from the LORD, and from all the cities of Judah, they came to seek the LORD.
Here the whole nation gathered to seek help from the Lord, and GOD intervened and helped them.
Finally, after receiving help from the Almighty, we must endeavor to return to give glory back to GOD. GOD said in Isaiah 42:8 “I am the LORD, that is My name, And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images”.
Until I come your way again, let us seek help from the Almighty GOD for we shall surely receive help. Shalom.
