In part one of the series, we saw how one lady lost out in marrying a very rich young man because she thought the man was living in a Boys Quarters.
I wish to say that some ladies are equally guilty of similar actions as the lady in question in our story in part one. I said this because some ladies despise promising young men simply because they may still be struggling in life.
Some ladies, all they want are ready-made husbands and refuse to pay attention to young men who are yet to make it in life. I still ask you “what should influence your choice of a man to accept his hands in marriage”?
Moreover, some ladies accept or refuse to marry men without the slightest knowledge of the men. I personally counsel young ladies that what should be their first consideration about any man is that they know the man and his character
That is the reason I say that face book marriage is questionable. I mean marriage as a result of friendship or contact on face book.
In this segment, I wish to share the story of another young lady who broke her relationship with a senior university lecturer but ended up marrying an ordinary motor driver living in only one-room apartment.
The lady in question was engaged to marry a senior university lecturer. However, along the line, another young man who the lady hardly knew or his background. That unknown young man came from a nearby village and diverted the heart of the lady that she broke up with the lecturer.
Unknown to the lady, the other young man was a professional motor driver, employed by one rich man whose family was residing in Ghana but himself resides in Nigeria the head office of his company.
In other words, the man was shuttling between Ghana and Nigeria. It happened that any time the young man drops the boss at the airport when he was to visit his family in Ghana, he will fuel any of the man’s expensive vehicles and drove to the village with it.
It was in one of such visits to the village that he met the lady, and they subsequently fell in love. He gave the lady the impression that he was the owner of these different vehicles.
Eventually, the lady abandoned or broke up with the lecturer and accepted to marry the young man. It happened that the man used the opportunity of the trip of the boss and travelled to the village for his traditional marriage ceremony.
However, the boss flew back the following day due to an emergency and met the driver and the vehicle missing. Initially, the man thought that the driver may have an accident with it.
The man as a result of that situation went that made a report at the police who called the man’s phone number and the man answered unknown to him the situation. Without the knowledge of what was on board disclosed that he traveled to his village with that vehicle.
The boss gave the police mandate to recover his vehicle. The young man was given the instruction to report to that police station with the vehicle immediately he comes back.
The day the man came back, he drove straight to the police station carrying his new wife in the vehicle. The first shock the lady was the police detaining her new husband in the police station until the chief he drives came to the police station with two other drivers.
The chief retrieved the key of his vehicle from the man and issued him immediate or on the spot sack letter. The young man had to travel to his residence from the police station with a tax.
When they arrived his residence, the second shock she had was the husband taking her to a one-room apartment. It was then that her eyes were opened, and she came to realize that she had been deceived into marrying that young man.
The man who she thought had chains of vehicle while as he had nothing, not even a fridge nor a television set and living in a one-room apartment.
That first night, the lady wept bitterly because the lecturer she disappointed was living in a well furnished 3bedroom flat. After one week of their marriage the husband remained unemployed, having lost his job as a driver.
The following week, the lady ran away dropping the man a note that she was not interested in the marriage again. The lady travelled straight to the lecturer’s residence.
However, she met another shock of her life as she met another lady who is heavy with her pregnancy that came to answer the bell and open the door.
When the lady in question confirmed that the pregnant lady was the current wife of the lecturer, she could not control herself as she broke down in tears.
Incidentally, the lecturer was not around but the wife who being so kind consoled her and raised N5,000 and gave her to travel back to the village. The said lady in question has given birth to a baby girl in her father’s house as she started sleeping around with men in the village.
As a lady, what did you make out of the above life story? Who is to blame of the above incident, is it the young man who deceived the lady or the lady that was deceived? If yourself get deceived, where is your sense of judgment? Till I come your way again. Shalom!
