The Bible in the book of Psalms 82 said some things that are pitiable about some Christians. That Psalms 82: 5-7 said “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. In other words princes (Christians) that ought to know or understand but they know not, neither will they understand.
Also, Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”
One of the issue they lack knowledge and understanding is the issue of the tithe. Of a truth, many Christians are wallowing in lacks and want because they are walking in disobedience.
Because they are not honoring God in tithing thereby closing the avenue through which God should bless them.
In other words, one of the reasons why some Christians are so poor is because they lack the knowledge and understanding about tithe. The devil has succeeded to keep them ignorant about the issue of a tithe, a pillar through which God prospers His people.
Because they are not paying their tithe, they are suffering under closed heaven and at the same time battling with the Devourers. In other words, if you are not paying your tithe, you are pitiable because you don’t know that the devil wants to make you poor.
The reason why some don’t pay their tithe is that they are viewing tithe in a wrong perceptive. They see tithe as money they are giving to help their pastors or their church, they are seeing tithe as an expense instead of an investment.
As long as you have a wrong perceptive about the tithe payment, you will continue to struggle in meeting up with this covenant obligation.
I must say that some pastors are to blame for this because instead of giving their members adequate teaching on tithe; they are busy coaxing their members to pay their tithe.
People who have adequate knowledge and understanding about the tithe payment, they don’t need to be coaxed or reminded to pay their tithe. Payment flows freely from their heart and they pay with joy knowing that they will get greater rewards.
People who struggle to pay their tithe are those who have “my own mentality”. Having this mentality means seeing resources that came your way as your own, gotten by your own strength.
This is not true, every resource you have comes from God as He is the one that gave it to you in the first place. That you are still alive is because God kept you alive. Mad people do they think of getting resources? You are still thinking that way because you feel you are sound upstairs.
Look at what Deuteronomy 8:18 said: “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”.
Secondly, the person you pay your tithe to equally matters a lot. Some pay their tithe to a church. Some pay their tithe to a pastor or a MOG while others pay their tithe to God. Once you pay your tithe to God, be rest assured you get the reward back.
Those who pay their tithe to the church or to a man of God, they go sorrowing because they don’t receive any reward as it is the only tithe that is paid to God that has a bountiful return.
In all, it is the person that is paying tithe that stands to benefit from that obedience. As long as you have that mentality that you are paying tithe to help a man of God or to enable a church to raise money, you have really missed it.
The reason is that whether you pay your tithe or not does not change anything. It is you that stand to benefit from the result of your obedience, not God or your pastor or church. Those who faithfully pay their tithe, they never lack as God sustains them.
So if you are having pressure in your finance as a result of paying your tithe, it means there is something wrong somewhere. It may be that you are not computing your tithe very well or that your heart is not right with God.
Again, people who are still struggling to pay their tithe, they are yet to have a prove the reality of Malachi 3:10-11 in their lives which says “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
The above verses are still not a reality in their lives so they struggle to pay their tithe. It is only with the issue of tithe that God specifically asked us to prove Him. Have you proved Him? You should prove him before you should have something negative or positive to say about it.
While writing this article, I came across this article on www.naijagists.com titled daddy-freeze-agent-of-satan-sent-to-mislead-believers-on-tithing/ https://naijagists.com/daddy-freeze-agent-of-satan-sent-to-mislead-believers-on-tithing/
In other words, I join to warn believers, especially in Nigeria that giving heed to the campaign led by Daddy Freeze, that campaign is satanic. For emphasize, paying tithe does not lead to poverty rather it is nonpayment of tithe that leads to poverty.
So any person that tries to discourage you to stop you from paying tithe is the devil and wants nothing but to keep you in poverty. If paying tithe is a burden to you, if paying tithe puts financial pressure on you, then please stop paying tithe and look for answers there is something wrong somewhere.
If paying your tithe, you think you are helping God or helping your church or your pastor? To have that mentality is foolishness; God did not need your money nor the church of God. Any pastor that is relying on your tithe to survive is not called of God.
Stop paying your tithe and watch and see if God or your pastor will go hungry. The person paying tithe is the one that stands to benefit more at the end. If therefore you feel that you don’t need God to succeed, you’re paying tithe is useless and a waste.
