These days, in Christianity, if the warning of the Apostle Paul in 1Timothy 4:1 is anything to go by, then we are in a precarious situation. That verse says “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times, some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
In view of this, then the erroneous teachings of Abel Damina as a pastor should be of utmost concern. This is because most of his teachings are so erroneous and capable of overthrowing the faith of his hearers.
Some years ago, ago, I respected Abel Damina for his fiery and impacting messages soaked with anointing with the anointing of God. However, over the years, it seems that something has happened to him that the anointing over him has disappeared.
When one is no longer speaking under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, the person will only be dishing out an only letter that comes from his carnal human wisdom. The bible warned that the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 2 Cor 3:6.
In this segment of our study, I wish to bring to your attention and warn you to be careful of listening to Abel Damina, he has drifted into errors and therefore his messages are therefore capable of overthrowing your faith.
I had written several articles earlier in which I pointed out that Abel Damina was displaying his spiritual ignorance, but now I have come to the conclusion that his situation is far from spiritual ignorance, that he has totally drifted into errors.
It is the result of his drifting into errors that made him teach boldly issues that contradict the bible. The Bible is its own interpreter, and we should never interpret any verse in isolation from what other verses of the Bible said.
However, on the contrary, Abel Damina is fond of picking a verse of the Bible and giving it an interpretation out of context. That is, he interprets Bible verses without consideration of what the verses before and after said.
Please don’t take my words, but let us look at his various messages that lead to the conclusion that he has drifted into errors. Perhaps his first erroneous teaching was his giving people the false hope of eternal salvation.
The first erroneous teaching was his teachings that You Can’t Lose Salvation that Once Saved, Always Saved Please this is an erroneous teaching. Once one is saved, his/her name is automatically written in the book of life. So we shall consider what happened with our name in the book or not been in the book.
It was Moses that made us understand that God keeps a book of life. According to Exodus 32:32-33, Moses told God, saying, “Yet now, if You will forgive their sin — but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.” And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.
From the verse above, God clearly made us understand that a person’s name that was once written in the book of life can be blotted out of the book of life. Revelation 20:12-15 says, And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life.
The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Also, Revelation 21:27 says, “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination, or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Another erroneous teaching of Abel Damina is captioned, The Woman Is Not The Helper For The Man | Dr. Abel Damina According to Abel Damina what Genesis 2:18 said, And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Abel Damina was arguing that the helper mentioned above is referring to Christ, and not a woman.
Please, I want us to look at that portion of the bible to prove to you that Abel Damina is erroneous. According to the context of Genesis 2:18-25, which reads, And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
It was God having seen that it is not good that man should be alone, and He decided to make him a helper comparable to him. It was for that reason that God took action, as recorded in verse 20.
According to verse 20, God brought all the beast He created to Adam, So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam, there was not found a helper comparable to him.
A look at the last sentence of the above verse, which says, But for Adam, there was not found a helper comparable to him. To go with the argument of Abel Damina, it means that Adam did not find a helper in Christ.
Adam had not found a helper comparable to him, the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
The first surgical operation that God performed on Adam was in an effort to find a helper for him. Then the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
Adam sighed a deep sigh of relief after God made into a woman, and He brought her to the man as Adam says, “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh”. She shall be called Woman Because she was taken out of Man”.
Please, how is Christ to be the helper for Adam in the above context, as Abel Damina wants us to believe?. When Eve was brought to Adam, he sighed a deep sigh of a relief showing that he has found a helper, saying “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh”.
To follow the argument of Abel Damina, it means that Christ was taken from Adam as his argument that the helper God said He will make for man was referring to Christ.
Of a truth, Abel Damina was confused and that is the reason he goes about confusing others. Proverbs 29:1 says, He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Who will you blame if you fall victim to his erroneous teachings?. Shalom!
