If you go anywhere, you will see different houses all built with different designs. Each of these houses is built based on the choice of the owner and the cost of each of the buildings are never the same?
In the same way, our marriages are like buildings, and what is obtained in our marriage is determined by our choice of design and the prize we are willing to pay. Before we got married, we were all dream of having a wonderful and exciting marriage.
However, while the above is a known fact, what actually is the reality and state of your own marriage? While others are enjoying the best of time in their marriage, other couples are having crises in their marriages.
In other words, what is obtained in your marriage is determined by what couples known and applied in their own marriages? In this segment, we shall be looking at known biblical principles that guarantee a successful and exciting marriage if applied in your marriage. The principles are laid down by God the originator of marriage.
In the first instance, the first thing can be seen in Genesis 2:23 “And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.”
What the above is saying is that the woman you marry must meet your taste and that you love her dearly. In other words, you should not allow anything to influence your choice of the woman you choose to marry.
The reason why the above is so is that Ephesians 5: 25 said: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her”. Also, Ephesians 5: 28 said, “So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself”.
In other words, the starting point to realizing the successful and exciting marriage you dream of is to choose a woman that really meets your taste that you will love with your whole heart.
Moreover, as a woman, you should never use any unconventional means to manipulate or influence the man in making the choice. This is because some ladies use “love potion” spell and juju to manipulate men into choosing them for wives.
Again, as a woman, to realize the successful and exciting marriage you dream of, you must accept the hand of a man you love and respect. If you have married already, you must necessarily give heed to this biblical injunction as contained in Ephesians 5: 22 which says,
“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Women who fail to be submissive to their husbands, such marriages will never survive.
Secondly, to realize a successful and exciting marriage of your dream, you must heed this biblical injunction as seen in Genesis 2: 24 which say “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.
What the above is saying is that as a man, you must really cleave to your wife and the two of you must become one flesh if you actually think of realizing your dream marriage.
A man who cleaved to his wife, and they become one flesh will surely love and respect each other. In other words, they will surely enjoy a successful and exciting marriage of their dream.
Again, to realize a successful and exciting marriage of your dream, couples must give heed 1Corinthians 7:5 which say, “Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinence”
The above is so because couples who defraud each $exually will never realize the successful and exciting marriage they dream of. Moreover, defrauding one another of $exual satisfaction had caused many marriages to collapse.
In addition, to realize the successful and exciting marriage you dream of, you must never take your spouse for granted. It is those couples who took their spouses for granted that don’t bother if their spouses are happy and fulfilled in their marriage or not.
To realize the successful and exciting marriage you dream of, you must do your best to ensure that your spouse is happy and fulfilled in your marriage. When your spouse is happy and fulfilled in your marriage, you will, in turn, be happy and fulfilled as well.
Finally, the level of your commitment to your spouse and marriage determines whether you will realize successful and exciting marriage you dream of. Couples who are deeply committed to each other and their marriage, they enjoy their marriage to the fullness. In other words, they realize fully successful and exciting marriage they dream of.
