I looked at the Oxford English Dictionary, and it defined to soar to mean rapid increase above the usual. It is said, while other birds fly it is only the eagle that is said to soar.
In this life, it is said which is a fact that all men are born equal. That is to say, we all came out from the womb naked. However, the circumstances of the birth of some people gave them some edge over others.
For that reason, some were said to be born with golden spoon in their mouth, some others, they were born with silver spoons while some were born with no spoon at all, but they rose to acquire golden spoons for themselves and their children.
In addition, the grace and favor of God equally makes a difference in a man’s life. Meaning that irrespective of the circumstances of a man’s birth, the grace and favor of God makes much difference in his life.
The book of Proverbs 22:2 says, “The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all”. It is for this reason that we shall be looking at certain factors that makes some men soar higher in life above others.
As said, irrespective of the circumstance of a man’s birth, we shall be exploring reasons why some men are soaring higher in life irrespective of their religion inclinations.
That is to say, apart from the grace and favor of God, what are the virtues that some rich people possess which the poor are lacking? We shall therefore be looking at or examining some of these virtues that make some men to soar higher in life above others.
Of a truth, these virtues, if we shall take hold of them, we shall equally soar higher in life. Particularly, three of such virtues are noticeable that makes a difference in our lives.
These three virtues are called wisdom, knowledge and understanding. It is a proven fact, any man/woman that takes hold of these virtues, he/she is sure to soar higher in life.
The book of Proverbs rendered this beautifully saying in Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”.
From the above passage, it is said that wisdom is the principal thing? The reason is as explained by Ecclesiastes 7:11-12 which rendered it saying, “Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.
For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the Excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
In reality, if we observe the super rich or wealthy people today that are soaring very high in life, they are in command of wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
It is wisdom, knowledge and understanding that confers on them some secrets which gave them the edge over others. It is these secrets that they traded, and today they are soaring very high in life.
As said, in practical terms, if we watch our society today, we will observe that men and women which are in command of the economy, politics, science and technology, they are men vested with wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
In other words, being in command of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, they are soaring higher in life. In the same vein, apart from individuals, the same applies to countries that are excelling, they are equally in command of wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
One of the major problems of some peoples especially my African brothers and sisters are that we are so religious that it seems that such religiosity had entered our head. In fact, I used to wonder if religiosity is what had made us lazy.
Of the entire continents, it seems that Africa is the poorest and as well the laziest set of people. It is disheartening that a continent where you can boast of deposits of different minerals resources are the poorest as their citizens are living below the poverty line.
It is mostly in Africa that you see people desiring and dreaming to be wealthy but are not ready or willing to pay any prize or are not contributing anything to the society.
I remember some folks in my country criticizing this website Destiny Boulders, saying that it is not $exy and entertaining while some foreign readers spends time to read many of the articles.
Being religious continent supposes to give us an edge, but our problems are misplaced priorities in prayers. Often we pray as if we are giving God command to rain wealth from above as it rained manna for the children of Israel.
It is obvious, some of my country men/women and my African brothers/sisters don’t know what they want in life and how to go about achieving them.
To this end, I wish to point out one thing that is very true,” Nothing worthy is ever free not even in Free Town”
Not until we get our priorities right, we will continue to live stagnated lives. I wish that we imbibe the analogy that a king from Dubai said about African lion and antelope.
According to that king, he said that a lion in Africa wakes up in the morning and determine that it must out run the fastest antelope for it to stay alive, or it will starve to death.
An antelope equally wakes up and determine that it must out run the fastest lion for it to stay alive, or it will be food for the lion
He said that if we take life that way, we are sure to succeed in what ever we are doing. To this end, whatever is not adding to our destiny is a waste of time.
We must as well determine to pay whatever prize necessary to achieve our goal even though some youths have no goals. To what extent do you read books and articles to empower your spirit man?
Spending much time on the net and social media chatting and browsing entertainment sites which cannot add anything to our destiny. Thank God, a lot of wonderful e-books abound on the net we can read with our smartphones.
Please remember what Solomon said in Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding”.
