This is part two of our discourse and I hope that you have read and understood part one? Please you need to read part one for a better understanding.
In part one, we saw in Proverbs 26:2 “As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. That is to say, before a curse, there must be a cause.
Moreover, looking at the case of Israel, one of the major reasons God did not allow Balak to curse Israel that time can be seen in Numbers 23:21.
In this verse, Balak said to Balam “God hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him and the shout of a king is among them.
From the above verse, Balam told Balak that God has not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel.
Secondly, he said that the LORD his God is with him and the shout of a king is among them. To this end, one cannot be swimming in the ocean of iniquity and living in perverseness and expect God to be with him/her.
The issue of iniquity is the determining factor to whether God will allow curses or enchantments to come upon us Christians that are living presently on earth,
For that reason, Paul stated vividly in 2 Timothy 2:19 saying, “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
Also, the book of Habakkuk 1:13a said that the Lord has purer eyes as to behold iniquity, “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity”
Paul therefore admonished us in Hebrew 12:14 that we should “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
If we wish that the Lord to be with us as to prevent any sorcerer, witch doctors and spiritualist hired to curse us to succeed; we must live lives pleasing to the Lord, lives free from iniquity.
For that reason, God will turn the curses of anyone hired to curse us to a blessing as he or she will say, “Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.
Are you ready and willing to “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord? We need to be rest assured of this in our daily lives.
When this is so, it will equally be said of us, “God had not beheld iniquity in us, neither hath He seen perverseness in our families.
What I am trying to bring out here is that we should not put our hands in iniquity if we expect to see God block or prevent curses, enchantments or divination from coming upon us.
To this end, it will be said that there is no enchantment or divination against us and family as God will not allow it to come upon us.. Shalom!
