It is highly unfortunate that the issue of tithe or tithing, one of a Biblical truth should be a subject matter of controversies. This is because great and powerful men of God are all teaching and interpreting the issue differently.
Some teachings are in favor of paying tithe to God while others are totally against it. However, Romans 3:4a said, God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar. I said this because the truth is the truth no matter who is against it or in favor of it.
The major reason why some of these men of God are teaching differently is purely the result of ignorance. David lamented in the book of Psalms 82:5-6
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the most High.
Also, Jesus chided the Jews and the religious leaders of his time in the book of Mathew 22:29 “Jesus answered and said unto them, ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God”
Of all the teachings on tithe or tithing, the man of God that greatly erred in his teaching is Pastor Chris Ojigbani whose teaching is the only false teaching. Coming to the subject matter of paying tithe to God or not, those who are against it are right while those in favor of paying tithe are equally right. It is you therefore who should prove any of the two school of taught that applied to you that you should follow.
Before you can truly decide, you have to clear your mindset of whatever knowledge you may think you have about tithe. First and foremost, the truth you should imbibe is that it is not everybody that is demanded to pay tithe.
It is only those in the covenant that is required to pay tithe. If you are not in the covenant, never waste your resources in the name of paying tithe.
Secondly, you should realize that every covenant child of God is paying tithe already including yourself and all these men of God teaching against paying tithe to God. We are all paying tithe every month but the question is who we are paying tithe to or who is collecting our tithe?
It is either we are paying tithe to God or paying it to Satan. So those who oppose paying tithe to God in the Church are indirectly advocating paying tithe to the devil. That is why I said they are equally right in their teaching. Whatever way you view it, you either pay tithe to God or the devil will collect it.
I have proved it and unless you prove it yourself; you will continue to struggle over the issue of the tithe. Ways to prove the issue of tithe: first, we are going to use a period of six months of three months each. In the first three months, don’t pay tithe but try to save the money you have used to pay tithe.
Also, take record of all the income that came your way and as well as all the expenditures that came your way each month for the three months. After, do a plus and minus of the total left over at the end of the three months.
Next, the other three months, pay your tithe correctly and genuinely for the next three months. Also, take records of all the income and expenditures that came your way each of the three months period. At the end of the three months, do a plus and minus of the income and expenditures.
Finally, compare the three months you did not pay tithe and the three months you paid tithe. If you are better off in the three months you did not pay tithe, please never allow anybody to compel you to pay tithe.
While as if you are better off in the three months you paid tithe, then never allow anybody to discourage you from paying tithe.
There are two situations, one, there are people who before needs arise, there is income waiting to take care of the needs while there are people who before income arrive, there are expenditures waiting to swallow the income.
Please, which of the two situations do you like? It is not the amount of money you make every month that matters but the left over at the end of every month.
I really confirmed this some months ago because for two times now, there is a man I know whose salary and that of his wife are more than double of mine and my wife. Yet the couple had come and borrowed money from me for two times now.
Any amount that you fail to pay a tithe to God, the devil collects them using the other hands. In other words, Daddy Freeze has been advocating and encouraging you to be paying your tithe to Satan.
Talking about Daddy Freeze, his campaign against the church regarding tithe payment in the church backfired as his plan was to discourage many Christians from paying tithe to God.
Instead, he ended up advertising the issue of tithing that those who were not committed to paying tithe before started to be committed to paying tithe as many came to see him as an agent of the devil that is out to deceive them over the issue of a tithe.
In actual sense, many churches had tithe income increased after Daddy Freeze campaign. Only a few gullible and like-minded individuals like him that stopped paying tithe while greater numbers started paying their tithe.
Coming back to the subject matter of tithe or tithing, I wish equally to point out that there are men of God who are in favor of paying tithe to God, who equally taught about it. However, they go about teaching it wrong.
Some use gimmick, fear, and intimidation to coerce people to pay tithe resulting in some paying tithe out of fear and as a burden. For emphasis, tithe payment is never compulsory and not for everybody but it is by choice.
The whole truth is that it is you who should personally decide whether you should pay tithe or not. Tithe or tithing in God’s perceptive is an opportunity God gave us to partner with Him to be blessed.
Nobody is ever coerced or forced to do so, as it is a person’s choice. If you are not persuaded to pay tithe to God please keep your money.
However, remember what I said above, try to see if you can save that money you would have paid as a tithe to God. Eventually, you will realize that other expenditures will take that amount even more.

Some are having a financial breakthrough, why not be among them, why rub yourself the opportunity to be among them? Tithe or tithing is for your own good not for anybody’s else.
