Part two of our discourse “understandings and contending with the invisible powers behind our constant attacks and battles in life”, we looked at various aspects of altars – godly altars and evil altars.
I wish to remind you that we fly high by the activities of godly altars speaking on our behalf while we may suffer calamities if evil altars are speaking against us.
In part one of the series; we mentioned that the devil has some legal grounds upon which he stands to attack us or fire arrows at us. One of such legal grounds is vows and covenants made by our forefathers or ancestors.
Our fathers, forefathers or ancestors even some generation beyond remembering may have made some dangerous vows or entered some covenants with altars and deities on behalf of generations yet unborn.
As long as you come from that bloodline, you can’t escape the covenant demands that witches and wizards will be making against you based on that ancient covenants/vows.
Another way the devil has access into our life or has legal grounds to attack us and the attacks will have impacts on us is by harboring devil’s tokens in our ancestral homes.
In other words, most a time, we are in custody of demonic tokens with us. As long as the various tokens are in our houses, the devil has access to that house or life.
For instance, fetish doctors or spiritualists may have given our fathers, forefathers, or ancestors some substance in closed bottles or native pots and asked to bury such in their compound.
You know that bottles or native pots can stay for thousands of years without rotten. As long as such pots or bottles remain buried, the devil has access to all those from such bloodline unless such is broken or revoked.
Also, before you got born again, you may have visited a native doctor, and he gave you some artifacts to place where you reside, that is a token and need to be destroyed if you want to move forward in life.
Another form of tokens that are more visible are rings, amulets, and beads that are given to us to wear when we were little children.
You may have grown up and thrown such away but the impact of such covenants still remains intact and need to be broken spiritually.
Moreover, the devil can get legal grounds to attack us when we allow the devil to inject into us the spirit of pride and arrogance.
When a man or woman gets injected with the spirit of pride, his/her language will change.
It is then that you see him/her start using the I, I, I, or I did this or did that thereby usurping the glory of God.
It is at that point that the spirit of God leaves that person because He said that His glory He will not share with any man.
When the spirit of God leaves that person, the person becomes defenseless and the devil will strike to drain the person of all his powers and anointing especially if he is a man of God.
A particular case in mind is Dr. Sunday Adelaja, a former Nigerian minister of God based in Ukraine.
The said Dr. Sunday Adelaja, was once a firebrand minister of God but now an empty shell and a shadow of his former self having allowed the spirit of pride to take possession of him.
Finally, one other way the devil gets legal ground to attack us is when we allow ourselves to get defiled. Have you read the story of David and Goliath?
When you read the story of David and Goliath as recorded in 1 Samuel 17. In verse 10 of that encounter, you will see that Goliath, despite his military might, he first defiles any army before he fights them.
And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together. Once you get defiled, the spirit of God will depart from you.
Another particular case can be seen in what happened in Zechariah 3: 1 – 4 “And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel.
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him.
And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with the change of raiment.
Please anytime you sense or feel that you are defiled, don’t fight the devil because the spirit of God will not be with you and you are sure to lose.
