On Earth today, there are saints of God, but they are living far below their redemptive and covenant rights. As a result, some are being harassed or molested by the devil, and satanic forces tremendously.
In other words, some are ignorantly allowing themselves to be molested or oppressed and held captive by the devil. That calls, for the reason God lamented in Hosea 4:6a, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
See also Isaiah 5: 13 “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. In Psalm 82:5-7 God also lamented, saying, “They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” As all the references above indicate, one major reason is that some lack the understanding of who they are in Christ and what the redemption of Christ meant for them.
Moreover, some are held captive by the devil and his satanic forces while as Christ said in John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. If we claim to know the truth, why are we still being oppressed and molested by the devil?
Definitely, before we can enjoy true freedom or enforce our redemptive covenant rights, we must know who we are in Christ and what these redemptive rights are.
The first thing we need to understand and allow sinking into our subconsciousness is our covenant and redemptive right to enjoy true freedom from the oppression and molestation of the devil.
That is, the first of our redemptive covenant rights which we shall look at is the right to enjoy true freedom from being a captive of the devil, freedom from every oppression, and molestation of the devil.
Are you being molested or oppressed by the devil in any area of your life? Please hear this: The book of Colossians 1:13 says, “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
Also, Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
1 peter 2:9 also says, but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
What all the above verses are trying to tell us is that we are no longer under the kingdom of the devil and his forces. We are being called out of darkness into His marvelous light. To this end, we should never allow the kingdom of darkness to control us any longer.
BUT HOW? How to make the reality of the above verses is the question that average believers should be asking because some have prayed and fasted to deal with the issues but to no avail.
In fact, some have done all that they learned to do, yet they are still being oppressed and molested by the devil and his forces. Of a truth, I share in your concern about the inability of some to enforce their true freedom from the oppression and the molestation of the devil.
Some are asking God, when will the oppression and molestation of the devil and in their lives? Here I show us the mystery, if we recollect or do research; we will observe that most of the issues or oppressions and molestation of the devil are exactly what our grandfathers/mothers went through.
The same was what our fathers/mothers equally fought these battles and now the same is now confronting us. If care is not taken, our children will suffer or be confronted with the same issues.
-I learned that from Bishop Abraham Chigbundu, most of the issues or patterns existing in certain families, most of the issues or battles we fight are inherited.
That is to say such existed in our bloodline, for generations beyond counting. As said, we will pass it to the next generations if we fail to conquer them.
These issues are the result of what we called generational curses or bloodline curses or issues. These issues may have come or been established as a result of curses, ancient vows, agreements, or covenants made by our ancestors.
It is highly unfortunate that majorities are not aware or knowledgeable of the causes of such issues, and that is the reason the devil is using them as the strongholds to oppress and molest us and our families.
It is obvious; the majority of those issues are established on altars. According to Bishop Chigbundu, the only way we could win the battles or adequately confront the issues is to identify the altars that established the patterns and deal with them.
Unless and until the altars are dealt with, we may end up fighting ending battles. In other words, certain issues confronting us are the results of altars from our fathers’ houses that may have been erected some generations long ago.
Look at what happened in Judges 6:11-35. The story was about Gideon, how he, his family, and entire Israel suffered tremendous oppression and molestation at the hands of the Midianites.
When God visited Gideon, He instructed him that the only solution was to carry out instructions given to him in Judges 6:25-26 which says, “That night the LORD said to him,
“Take your father’s bull, the second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal, which your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it;
And build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of the stronghold here, with stones laid in due order; then take the second bull, and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.”
Gideon obeyed and did exactly what he was told, and God eventually used him to deliver Israel from the oppression and molestation at the hands of the Midianites.
In the like manner, if we want God to use us to liberate ourselves and members of our families/future generations yet unborn, we need to identify the evil altars existing in our father’s houses and deal with them.
The only way to achieve that is to break down such altars and in their place raise higher godly altars. As such, we confront and enforce our freedom by allowing altars to confront altars. Shalom!
