This is the second part of our discourse, and we will be discussing on the subtitle when positive or negative altars are speaking for you or against you?
One profound truth we shared and learned in part one of the series is that we rise or fall depending on which altars are backing or speaking against us.
This is because many are held captive and suffer greatly in life as a result of evil altars that are raised against them and such altars are speaking against them.
As said in part one, it is highly unfortunate that some people fail to realize or understand that the reason for the many calamities that befall them is as a result of some evil negative altars are speaking against them.
I said something in part one, which I wish to repeat,” one of the greatest spiritual knowledge we need to have is the knowledge of the mystery of altars.
We can’t talk of altars without talking of sacrifices because it is sacrifices, most a time; blood on the altars that make altars powerful or potent.
For illustration, look at what happened in 1Samuel 7:10 “And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel:
But the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.
From the account above, Samuel was about to make a sacrifice when the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. However, immediately the blood of the sacrifice dropped on the altar, the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.
See also what a Moabite King did, a Moabite King that did not know God but who understand the reality of altars. In 2 King 3:26-27 it was said,
And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom, but they could not.
Then he took his eldest son who would have reigned in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering upon the wall; and there was great indignation against Israel. So they departed from him and returned to their own land.
You should understand that what makes altars potent are the value of sacrifices placed on such altars and that determines what happened after.
In the case of that Moabite King as seen above, immediately the blood of his eldest son dropped on the altar as a sacrifice, the battle turned against Israel the people of God.
What I am trying to make us understand is that once blood touches an altar, there is always an intervention of a spirit, either the spirit of God (godly altar) or spirit of the (devil) evil altar.
For instance, we saw what happened in part one when Abraham offered his son Isaac on the altar. Also, in 1 King 3:4-5 now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place:
Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
In other words, God reacts when He saw blood on the altar the same way Satan reacts when he saw blood on evil altar.
The question on our lips should be, “how does altars affects us? Before going ahead to look at how altars affect us, I wish that we read and understand what happened in Judges 6:6-end.
Reading about Gideon in Judges 6:25-27 which says, “Now it came to pass the same night that the LORD said to him, “Take your father’s young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it;
“And build an altar to the LORD your God on top of this rock in the proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down.”
So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as the LORD had said to him. But because he feared his father’s household and the men of the city too much to do it by day, he did it by night.
In the above passages, God specifically instructed Gideon to demolish the altar in his father’s house and in its place raise an altar to God. Which Gideon did before God can use him.
What Gideon did is exactly what most people need to do before they can move forward in life. I said this because some people, what is holding them down, causing them stagnation in life are the effect of evil altars in their father’s houses.
Like Gideon, unknown to us are evil altars existing in our fathers houses. Such altars may have existed for many generations beyond remembering.
Such altars may have been erected by our ancestors and certain vows and covenants were entered on such altars. Some people are not aware of the existence of such altars.
However, some knew about the existence of such altars but because when they grew up, they rebelled against the activities of their ancestors in offering bloods upon such altars.
This is the end of part 2. In part 3, we shall be looking at the implications of breaking certain ancient vows and covenants made by our ancestors on the altars for whom demonic forces are making covenant demands.
Often, such covenant demands are behind or are the reasons for which many are suffering greatly today. Please keep a date with us next. Shalom!
