It is said that the richest place on planet earth is the cemetery. This is because in the cemetery you will find buried many unfulfilled destinies.
Many who died without realizing or fulfilling their destiny? Are you fulfilling destiny or are you operating in a cycle going nowhere?
To fulfill our destiny most often start with divine encounter and to live and die without fulfilling your GOD ordained destiny will be a great regret.
The encounter most a time start with your encounter with the prophet the LORD had sent your way. Look at what the BIBLE said in Hosea 12:13 “And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt and by a prophet was he preserved.”
Also in 2Chronicles 20:20 “And they rose early in the morning, and went forth Into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said,
“Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD Your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper”.
Many lives have their destinies turned around via encounter with the prophets of GOD. In the story of Elijah, as seen in 1 Kings 17:8-13 7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land.
Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”
So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks.
And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup that I may drink.” And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”
So she said, “As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”
And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.
“For thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the earth.’”
So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah, and she and he and her household ate for many days. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.
In the story above, the woman of Zarephath and her son would have died of starvation if not her encounter with Elijah the prophet of GOD.
Also in 2Kings 4:1-7 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying,
Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
And Elisha said unto her, what shall I do for thee? Tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said Thine handmaid hath not anything in the house, save a pot of oil.
Then he said, go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
So she went from him and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her, and she poured out.
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel.
And he said unto her, there is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
The same is true of the Shunammite woman as can be seen in 2Ki 4:8-17 “And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman, and she constrained him to eat bread.
And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us that he shall turn in thither.
And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber and lay there. And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful of us with all this care; what is to be done for thee?
Wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered I dwell among my own people.
And he said, what then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.
And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door. And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son.
And she said Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. And the woman conceived, and bares a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
The prophets of GOD are agents of change and agents of preservation. The devil knows it and that is why he is using his agents to corrupt and pollute your minds against the Prophets of GOD who GOD may have positioned to use to turn your destiny around.
Believe it or not, the prophets of GOD could guide you into knowing the mind of GOD for the hour.
However a prophet of GOD you don’t accept or believe cannot be a blessing to you.
When you believe in the prophets of GOD you could have an encounter with the prophets not necessarily on one on one basis, but via listening to their message and reading their books.
Your encounter, your action, and relationship with a prophet of GOD could help mold your destiny. So strive to have an encounter with destiny. Shalom.
